The following is an announcement from TfL regarding carriageway repair works that will happen along Church Road (A312):
Transport for London (TfL) has appointed Amey to carry out carriageway resurfacing on the A312 Church Road, between Bengarth Road and White Hart Roundabout in both directions.
The works will begin on Wednesday 14 December 2011 and will last approximately one week. In agreement with the London Borough of Ealing working hours will be Monday to Friday 21:30-06.00hrs. There will be times when works have to take place outside of the above hours but these will be kept to within noise level guidelines. Please also note that the noisiest operations will be carried out before midnight to minimise inconvenience to local residents.
The A312 is an important route for through traffic, and as such is a very difficult route to maintain. We have arranged the work into a suitable amount of phases to reduce the amount of disruption caused, and to maintain traffic flow and road capacity as much as possible at all times.
The works will require various sections of the A312 to be closed during the works times and diversion routes for traffic will be indicated via traffic signs. Access for emergency services will be maintained. Bus routes using the A312 Church Road will also be diverted, and these diversions will be signed at local bus stops.
As with all works on the Transport for London Road Network, we must balance possible disruption to residents with disruption to traffic. Working at night provides us with the best chance to complete these works as quickly as possible with as little disruption as possible.
I apologise in advance for any inconvenience that these essential works may cause. Should you require further information or an update during the delivery of these works, please contact our Streets Customer Services department on 0845 305 1234 or via our website at www.tfl.gov.uk/contact.
