Public notice: Edward Road to be resurfaced from 18th November

Ealing Council is spending £5.5 million to improve its road network. As part of this investment programme we will be resurfacing Edward Road. Murrill Construction Ltd has been appointed by the council to undertake the works.

The scheme will start with a programme of works to adjust kerbs and gullies on the 18 November 2013 and is expected to take 3 weeks. We will then resurface the carriageway immediately afterwards and this element is expected to take 1 week.

Normal working hours are Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm.

In order to facilitate safe working, Edward Road will be closed to through traffic during the 1 week resurfacing element of the programme. Diversions will be sign posted. Access to residents’ properties will be permitted but there may be short delays. Emergency access will not be affected. All parking within the works area will be suspended. To enable work to take place any vehicles parked in the working area will be relocated to a neighbouring street. They will NOT be returned to their original position once the works are complete.

Murrill Construction Ltd will aim to keep noise levels and disruption to a minimum. Thank you in advance for your co-operation and we apologise for any inconvenience that these works may cause.

If you require any further information or have any concerns as a direct consequence of the actual works taking place, require special deliveries, disabled access during the works or if you think your car has been moved please contact Murrill Construction Ltd on 020 8578 4275.
