A message from Thames Water that will affect drivers and passengers who use the North Circular (A406):
The northbound North Circular (A406) will be closed at Gunnersbury Lane for emergency water works tomorrow morning (26th Jan 2018) for at least three days.
Thames Water engineers will start repairing a leaking 30-inch pipe in the early hours on Friday and into the weekend on the A406 towards Ealing from the M4 motorway junction. The company is working with Transport for London to finalise the best diversions, which will be confirmed and clearly sign-posted later tonight.
We [Thames Water] are sorry for the disruption, but we have to take immediate action after our maintenance teams found this leaking water pipe. It’s two and a half feet wide and would cause major disruption if it was left to burst.
Thames Water will need to stop water travelling through the leaking section of pipe to carry out the repair, but water supplies to customers in the area will not be affected.
