Kingshill Avenue will continue being resurfaced this week with further much needed work to improve safety along the road to start the week after. There will be an impact on users of the road during that time – so for details, please see below.
Carriageway laying Process:
We plan to resurface the carriageway during the day time as follows;
13th and 14th September 2018 between 9.30am and 4pm.
The resurfacing locations are as follow:
- Between outside no 12 Kingshill Avenue to Junction with Edward Road
- Between outside no 107 to outside no133 Kingshill Avenue
- Between outside no 213 to outside no 227 Kingshill Avenue.
Kingshill Avenue will be closed to through traffic to ensure safe working and diversions will be sign posted. Buses will be diverted and routes 90 and E9 will not be able to serve Kingshill Avenue. Please see bus stops for further details.
Access will not be permitted during the laying process because of risk of damage to the new surface and to your own vehicle. If you need to discuss access arrangements, please contact our contractor or arrange to park your vehicle in a nearby location where access is unaffected. Emergency access will not be affected.
Implementation of Safety Scheme Process:
The work will start week commencing 17th September 2018 for two weeks.
The works will be carried by using temporary traffic lights to maintain traffic flow.
The dates above are weather dependent and may be changed, therefore please check notices on lamp columns which will confirm the final dates.
