About Bassam

Bassam grew up in Northolt since the age of four and was elected as a councillor for Northolt West End in May 2005.

He attended school locally at St. Raphael’s RC Primary, where he currently serves as a governor.

He currently works for a London housing association managing their employment and enterprise programmes.

On the council, Bassam is currently the Cabinet member for Environment, Transport & Leisure.  He is also the chair of the Northala Fields Steering Panel and of the West London Waste Authority.

In 2012, Bassam was elected as a member of the London Waste & Recycling Board and Champions the Circular Economy.

Bassam is married to Izabela, they have two sons, is a Liverpool fan, enjoys rugby too and is a keen cyclist, both as a daily commuter and for leisure on longer rides.
